Electrovision
After a long summer break Electrovision is back this December at a great new venue in Stoke Newington: The Others. We also have another amazing line-up of audio visual artists for you. Expect ground breaking performances by Paul Prudence, Zan Lyons, The Screenjunkie (Eclectic method) and Fade In Fade Out.
One of the most distinctive audio/visual performers to date, violinist, producer and film-maker Zan Lyons stunning shows have received critical acclaim across the globe. Explosive beats collide with melancholic concertos. Using his laptop and custom foot pedals, Zan loops his violin, voice and sounds - while manipulating his haunting visuals to incredible effect.
Paul Prudence is an artist and real-time visual performer working with generative and computational systems. He is particularly interested in the ways in which sound, space and form can be synthaesthetically amalgamated. He is a researcher in the fields of visual music, process art, and computational design.
Geoff Gamlen (Eclectic Method) is performing a solo AV set as The Screenjunkie. His improvised audiovisual mash-up sets feature television, film, music video and game footage sliced and diced into a blistering post-modern dance floor extravaganza.
Combining their electro-indie-rave sound with their trademark experimental motion graphics, the London AV duo 'Fade In Fade Out' will rock the dance floor and the screen.
