Hello everybody, Pin Up Nights is on a great roll at the moment, with our Hallowe'en themed event Pin Up Frights attracting an attendance of around 300. Our 7th birthday party is on Friday 26th November. 7 years of Pin Ups! We will be welcoming back Guest DJs of November 2007 Scott and Bryan Devendorf of The National, who will appear following The National's already sold-out show at the O2 Academy. In November 2007 the Devendorf Bros were looking forward to their DJ set so much they announced it from the stage of the ABC, brought the whole band along to Pin Ups, and we ended up having to turn folk away! We are expecting similar scenes this time, and will have the venue decorated in a nice birthday style in anticipation with balloons and banners.

Our live bands are the splendid For Abel ( http://www.myspace.com/forabel ), who have played Pin Ups a couple of times in their previous incarnation as Nacional. Why did For Abel change their name? Well, I kid you not, earlier this year they received a letter from the management of none other than....The National! We are looking forward to introducing the bands to each other! Supporting For Abel will be Skinny Villains ( http://www.msyapce.com/skinnyvillains ) and Strawberry Ocean Sea ( http://www.myspace.com/strawberryoceansea ), another band who have played Pin Ups under a previous name.

Once again, all this action is yours for just a fiver if you buy in advance (from the shop at http://www.pinup-nights.co.ukor Tickets Scotland) or £6 on the night! You might even be lucky enough to get a bit of birthday cake. Feel free to bring the Pin Ups chaps a present if you like or why not pop along in your birthday suit?

We’re not sure that Pin Ups will last for another 7 years, but if it keeps being as much fun as it has been over the last while then anything could happen.

ps we can confirm that after total sell outs in 2008 and 2009, the Pin Ups Hogmanay Ball is once again happening this year! The full line up is TBC but as a taster we can tell you the excellent Over The Wall will be playing live. Full details will be out soon!
