THE ORCHIDS
Stars of the legendary indie label Sarah Records, the label also responsible for The Field Mice and Heavenly, The Orchids formed in the mid 1980s in Penilee, near Govan, in South Glasgow, and released two full-length studio albums plus a string of EPs and singles. The band returned in 2007, releasing the “Good to be a Stranger” album on the Madrid label Siesta, and resumed live shows with a breathtaking performance in London that year for Fortuna POP!. as well as headlining Indietracks Festival. Pop in its purest and most engaging form they are heralded as paving the way for artists such as Belle and Sebastian and Trash Can Sinatras as well as drawing comparisons with contemporaries such as The Go-Betweens and Felt. The band’s 5th album “The Lost Star” has recently been released by Pebble Records.
“The best Scottish pop band since Orange Juice” – Melody Maker
“A blissful mix of the best Scottish bands of the last few years” – NME

DARREN HAYMAN
Darren will be playing an exclusive one-off solo performance on Bush Hall’s grand piano, performing songs from his most recent album “Essex Arms” as well as others from his illustrious career. Best known as the singer-songwriter of the phenomenally successful and much-loved Hefner, Darren is now six albums into an increasingly idiosyncratic career path; writing the theme tune and staring in a Spanish Sitcom, playing a 30 people capacity show in a 100 year old paper mache observatory and playing possibly Britiain’s most remote festival on the Isle of Eigg.
“London's laureate of sexual dysfunction, discomfort, and dog-eared under-achievement... the match of Ray Davies, or any of the quintessentially English masters.” (The Guardian)

THE CAVALCADE
The Cavalcade are an indiepop band from the rain-swept town of Preston in the north of England, inspired by bands such as Felt, The Clientele and The Field Mice. Formed in 2009, they released their debut EP “Meet You In The Rain” in May of that year and their debut album “Many Moons” was released earlier this year on Pebble Records.
“The Cavalcade have produced an album that can proudly stand alongside those from Allo Darlin' and Standard Fare as an indiepop triumph.” (Music OMH)
