WILKINSON / EDWARDS / NOBLE
This trio has become one of the hottest bands on the London scene, reaching a new and enthusiastic young audience for the music. Comprising 3 of the capital’s most experienced and hardest working musicians, they play ‘free jazz’ with one foot firmly in the European school of free improvisation, group music where the twists and turns are born exclusively out of intense listening and an almost intuitive creativity. However, their willingness to embrace a broad spectrum of styles is redefining traditional barriers and prejudices, making the music vibrate with a renewed sense of freedom. They have released two Cds OBLIQUITY (2007) and ‘LIVE AT CAFE OTO’ (2009) on the Bo’weavil label.
"W/E/N steamrollered spectators suspicions with a set as powerful as The STOOGES and as fluid as JOHN COLTRANE". Stewart Lee , The Sunday Time

WEBSTER / HOLUB / McLAREN
The newly formed trio of saxophonist Colin Webster, drummer Mark Holub, and keysman Toby McLaren create improvisations that explore the boundaries of colour and form, bringing together acoustic and electronic elements. Their music is often dark and intensely raucous yet can be brought to an abrupt standstill and moments of meditation. Their CD-R 'Koi Bombs' will be released in early 2011 on the Gaffer label.
“The sticksman and keysman from Led Bib are joined by the saxman from Chik Budo, for a full-on attack of raucous free-improv, punk-jazz and other hyphenated music genres.” - Land Of Kings Festival
