DD/MM/YYY take a ‘no style’ approach when it comes to producing music. Known for swapping instruments on-stage and free styling through the changeovers to avoid any pause within their performance they create an energetic ever-moving sound which draws inspiration from Frank Zappa, Melt Banana, DADA art and video games. Oh and don’t worry, there is no wrong way to pronounce DD/MM/YYYY, although Day Month Year seems to be the most commonly accepted.

The by-product of van-confined wanderlust, inevitable maturity and the band’s growing comfort level in the studio environment, their latest album, Black Square is set for release on Invada Records on November 2, 2010 and we are holding the official album launch party right here at The Old Blue Last. Anticipate an urgent set of elastic songs - dramatic & tempered by healthy doses of ireverence that make it very hard to stand still. A swat-team style five-man workout along with healthy jogs from one instrument to another, arrangement- swapping, and seemingly random walks on & off the stage… Sounds great!
