SIMON SCOTT
Simon Scott released his debut album called 'Navigare' on Miasmah (run by Erik Skodvin from Deaf Center/Svarte Greiner) in October 2009 mastered by Andreas Tilliander, aka Mokira. In July 2010 Simon released the vinyl only "Traba" mini-LP on Chicago imprint Immune Recordings receiving more glowing reviews. October 2010 Simon releases a 7" called 'Depart/Repeat" on Berlin label Sonic Pieces that was recorded and mastered by Nils Frahm.
Simon is the ex slowdive drummer (1990-1994 "just for a day" LP and "souvlaki" LP) who has run the KESH recording label/live promotions agency from Cambridge since 2005. He is currently working on a second album for Miasmah due for release in spring 2011 alongside soundtrack work for television and film (including BBC and Channel 4).
He has collaborated with Brian Eno, The Caretaker, Machinefabriek, Seasons (pre-Din), Nils Frahm, Svarte Greiner and Rafael Anton Irisarri. Since 2008 Simon shared the stage with Fever Ray, Tim Hecker, Nils Frahm, Fennesz, James Leyland Kirby, Isan, Greg Haines, Mira Calix and Ryoji Ikeda. He has also provided production to 'Hintergarten' by Hannu (KESH), has co-written and produced three tracks for the second The Sight Below album "It All Falls Apart" (April 2010), has drummed for Klimek and remixed ON, Jasper TX, Autistici, Papercutz:, Machinefabriek and Isan.
The Wire Magazine say: "Scott is particularly adept at layering coolly shimmering guitars and dark churning currents of noise into something vast. A haunting aspect of 'Navigare' is how it seems to contain traces of tunes that stand out like half-forgotten relics of the past" (Dec'09).

extremely well-crafted electronic music. Foxy Digitals
A great piece of subconscious architecture.XLR8R
Support for the evening comes no better fitting then that of Brighton's very own The Spirit Of Gravity Quartet.
