A rare show by Cosmic Shenngy (“An ambassador for the Chinese avant-garde” – TIME) one time 'Hang the Box' drummer (China's first punk rock band who signed to Cherry Red) and daughter of a Cosmonaught, who dropped the sticks to pursue a more experiemntal space/krautrock bent. Shenngy has collaborated with Elliott Sharp, Alvin Curran, Damo Suzuki and Blixa Bargeld. She also performs as 'White' with Shou Wang from 'Carsick Cars' and has toured with Neubauten.
The opening night will also have a TM Revolution / Abingdon Boys School theme, including songs from the artists played throughout the night, and ABS’s European exclusive album Teaching Material being awarded to the best TM Revolution or ABS cosplayer courtesy of Gan-Shin Records. Further still, Manga Entertainment will be screening episodes of the samurai hit anime Sengoku Basara, which features the ABS song JAP, at the venue’s private cinema, along with Vampire Knight along with official music videos from Japan’s biggest rock acts from Gan-shin Records on the big screen.
Damnably's aptly named 'DJ Set' (DJ Set) and 'Dj Whatever' spin the coolest J' post punk/J' punk pop J'tunes.
The venue also has bowling/ private karaoke rooms/Nachos and cheap Czech lager plus super dry J' Lager 'Asahi'!
Come along and rock London, Japanese style!!
