The Old Blue Last and Hippos In Tanks come together to present a showcase for the LA-based label. Headlined by New York's VON HAZE, who will be playing their final show in London after sets at 1234, Field Day and Radfest. Support comes from London's outstanding VISIONS OF TREES and HYPE WILLIAMS. Entry is free.

Von Haze

Brooklyn's Von Haze play dark-tinged, sultry psychedelia that is put through its paces against synthesised backdrops and hard-hitting baselines. Whilst their combination of tawdry synths and gothic guitar drone draw comparison to acts such as the XX, Von Haze bring their own dark sensuality to the genre and clearly set themselves apart from the crowd. The hipper-than-thou duo have just released their debut self-titled LP, produced by Richard Fearless of Death In Vegas, through up-and-coming LA label Hippos in Tanks.

Visions of Trees

Visions of Trees are a London boy/girl duo who have spent the past year recording together in a local basement. Their sound is a disembodying reconfiguration of tribal-electronica, awash in echoing techno-ambience with vocals that range between cavernous and soothing. Good for meditation, catharsis, transcendence, epiphany, celebratory dance or any number of things that won’t easily let you split your attention.

Hype Williams

Hype Williams are an enigmatic and elusive duo who take elements of the past and turn them into something new. We like to let our imaginations run riot and think of them as a latter-day Throbbing Gristle, a bunch of art terrorists doing abusive, subversive things to mainstream pop culture from the margins. You should definitely believe the hype about Hype.
