World Atlas, downdime and The Empty Set at Saki (Manc) Tonight (Tues 3rd August)
Underachievers and Pull Yourself Together are very pleased to present a very special one off-gig at Saki...
WORLD ATLAS
If you take a chance on going to see one unknown new band this summer, World Atlas should be that band. An amazing Brooklyn band that make multi-instrumental luscious orchestral indie-pop. The vocals will draw favourable comparisons with Belle & Sebastian, an undeniable influence. However, to call them imitation ...would be a great dis-service. It more sounds like these are songs Murdoch and co. just forgot to make. They are that good.
This is their first UK tour. Their debut EP was released on Magic Marker Records in March 2010. It contains five soon to be timeless classic songs. Listen to them here- http://www.myspace.com/theworldatlas
DOWNDIME
'Backed by the zesty Squirrel Records, downdime sound every bit the cool sub-radar Leeds outfit, with this eight-song album recorded at The Brudenell Social Club. It’s a messy attempt at something very pure, and that is always a good thing.' - High Voltage

THE EMPTY SET
The Empty Set write deeply sincere, delicate songs that are often compared to Sufjan Stevens. We are very pleased to have them as Tommy now studies in Sweden, and we never got chance to put them on before he left last year, which was a damn shame.
Listen to how great their songs are here- http://www.myspace.com/emptysetpop
ALL THIS WILL BE FOR JUST £5 ON THE DOOR.
