Violet Violet are calling it a day and are embarking one last tour. The girls have played for us a few times over the years and we hope you can join us in making their final gig at The Oakford a memorable one.

Female grrl rock-pop duo Violet Violet return to The Oakford for the final time, as this is to be their last tour. They will be playing songs off their new EP ‘Ebony and Ivory’ plus their acclaimed album The City is Full of Beasts. Their tunes are full of tribal rhythms, gyrating guitars and dual lead vocals.

They've toured the UK, Europe, America and played at The Great Escape and Offset festivals. Plus they’ve recorded a Maida Vale session for Radio 1. Been featured in magazines Plan B, Artrocker, NME and championed by Steve Lamacq.

Oxford-based band Gunning For Tamar are brimming with the antidote to the ‘average’. Formed post-university and assembled from 2 parts Cornwall, 1 part Oxford & 1 part Isle of Wight, the band infuse their music with a desire to make songs with compelling structures, whilst allowing ideas to weave and entwine with an unexpected, satisfying harmony. With the band already receiving regional BBC airplay and positive endorsement.
