SoundBytes: Mistys Big Adventure, Johnny 5th Wheel + much more
On Thursday July 22nd Creative Lancashire have organised a special music industry event - 'SoundBytes'. It is a full day of panel discussions, workshops, seminars, and one-to-ones with some of the brightest movers and shakers within the industry.
To coincide with this event They Eat Culture has put together a really exciting evening line-up at The Continental - which is open to the general public. This includes the fabulous Mistys Big Adventure (from Birmingham), an exclusive screening of the new Mogwai 'Burning' documentary and much more too!
To attend the day-time seminars/workshops (hosted at Avenham Pavillion) you do need to register, but be aware that places are extremely limited. For more information on what is on offer throughout the day please see the Creative Lancashire website...

Imagine Harry Nilsson strumming any stringed instrument that he can get his hands on. "Theatrical, epic, vaudeville tunes, driven by accordian, mandolin and organ and haunted by the ghosts of Anthony Newley, Scott Walker, Burt Bacharach and Jake Thackray." He’ll also appear at this year's Kendal Calling.

A glorious 8 piece band from Birmingham, made up of brothers and sisters and twins and saxophones and trumpets and cute, weird dancers who produce uplifting, life affirming tunes. “The UK’s answer to the Arcade Fire” - The Independent.

MOGWAI 'BURNING' – A film by Nathanaël Le Scouarnec
Kickstarting the Continental’s programme of music and art films – a pre-release screening of Mogwai’s new film ‘Burning’ (release date mid August). Brought to you in association with 44 Promotions. It will be screened on our new 14ft projector screen!

Robbie Judkins Live Sound Mix - 11pm – 11.30pm
Sound experimentalist Robbie Judkins creates a live soundscape taken from snippets recorded throughout the day. Some of this piece will be
downloadable after the event.

Entry is free for all delegates who attend the 'SoundBytes' event (seminar/ workshop delegates only)
