Because of that and my general hyperactivity when it comes to musical cream toppings, you can probably imagine my reaction after following up on the lastest news about the Empire's playbill for April:
Willy Russell's striking musical "Blood Brothers" will return to Liverpool for two weeks only! It is
"the moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with tragic consequences." (Liverpool Empire Theatre, 12/3/2010)
Originally having premièred at Liverpool's Playhouse theatre in 1983, Blood Brothers has become one of the world's longest running and most true-to-life musicals. (...)
