I've been on a gig hiatus since returning from Australia not only to have an operation but also to record a new bunch of material. And the results of that should see the light very soon.
Tim Holehouse (folk and blues)
With this part of my musical persona I have been recording a brand new album with a brand new back up band provisionally called "The gentlemen of the open road" Featuring Graham Young (ex snowblood, ...and then they sang), Michael Howe (ex wives of seth, dethroned, soon the darkness) and Chris Derrick (Dharama B*ms and Tea wig).
The album will be called "Grit" it marks quite a change in direction for me, it’s a lot heavier and faster than either "From the dawn chrous..." or "Found dead on the shoreline" with the vocals a lot gruffer and immediate.
This will be release in Late May early June on dislocation deity records on 10" Vinyl (with a CD version inside for the non record player owners).
Also recorded at the same time as this is a record where two longer pieces for a two track EP called "Transient tales of a lost soul" this also features a re recorded version of "Vessels that sail in the night" from my debut album "Found dead on the shoreline". This recording features Chris cook on Sitar (Same actor, Hot roddy), Amy on bouron drum (And then they sang) and Francesca Cowan on back up vocals (Get crucial, Wolfie, Burning Hull).
These where both recorded at No recording studio in Rayliegh in Essex by the amazing Mr John Hannon (librez, woe, understand).
I am also playing a few show with and without the band in the UK and Europe.
30th March @ The Library, London.
2nd April @ House show, London (mail for details)
11th April @ Dimensione, Winterhur, Switzerland
I'm also planing a short tour with mr Tommy Comstock in May and hopefully a short tour with Slushy guts.
Timothy C Holehouse (Drone, Ambient, Noise)
After a few artwork hold ups "In search of the binary star" my second album under the the Timothy C Holehouse guise. This Like "…to the howls at midnight" will be out on Dead Pilot records and my continued thanks to Daniel for his support of this project. This recording features Rick Blakelock (Electric mud generator, Forest of stars) and Richard "Goodwin" Jones (koresh) and was record by Robert Hobson at Silent City recording studios. And will be released on CD.
This will also be followed by an EP called "Into the black void" which will be a stricly limited CD release and has re mastered and mixed versions of some recordings from 2003. Robert Hobson of Silent City re mixed and mastered several old unreleased tracks into one piece. This will be released on CD.
I have also started work on the third album for this project (the Snappily tittled) "The Earth crumbled into the ocean, as flames licked the sky, we hung our heads knowing that the end was nigh" it’s a four part album recorded with Electric Mud Generator of Leeds backing me up as they have been recently on several tours and shows.
I am also planning to try and complete my recording and collabortaion with Portsmouths Attack! Vipers! In the next few months.
Also the lastest split tapes will be ready in the next few weeks and will be splits with Same Actor/Hot roddy, Eupheral, The reactor core is splendid and Sea Buckthorn. The last few of the tape series will be released in May and then that's it for a while for tapes from me for a while.
