Skeleton Closet - charity fundraiser - do something different?
Here's a different night to the norm...
On Friday April 16th at Islington Metalwork’s, Fleur-de-Lys presents 'The Skeleton Closet' a dark raunchy night of music, comedy, cabaret, magic and freaks raising money for charity ‘Ward 8’.
Ward 8 is a small independent charity that raises funds and support for the fostering of orphaned and abandoned children in Swaziland, Africa. 'Ward 8' is the name of children's ward in Mbabane Government Hospital, Swaziland, where the orphaned, abandoned and often abused children live. (Click here for more details)
This deadly costume extravaganza is hosted by the sexy but psychotic 18th century heiress, ‘Ruby The Serial Killer’. Spread across the ghostly decor of Islington’s most alternative venue, The Skeleton Closet brings you and eclectic bill of artists in the live room including,
The Voodoo Trombone Quartet, Dog Eared Collective, Ruby Honeycutt Corset, Girl in a Thunderbolt, Cabaret Dancers, Dr Rubberfunk and Deboa.
While the main courtyard will play host to The Sweeney Todd indoor BBQ and Chloroform cocktail bar, be warned though you might just land yourself on the resident mortuary table. Expect an array of circus folk including Hazel & Henry, tarot readers, freaks and magicians such as ‘The Unbelievable’ Ben Williams. With a license till 5am, DJs will keep those still alive dancing till dawn.
