Falling Down presents The Ray Summers - This Saturday @ The Phoenix
Hi everyone.
Falling Down is a new, unpretentious clubnight in London's West End.
Run by the people who brought you Flook (http://www.myspace.com/flookmusic) we aim to bring the best new bands to our stage as we have always done (those who remember Flook will remember the amazing gigs we put on, including Arctic Monkeys first ever London show upstairs at The Garage, Feb 05).
Our motto is just to have fun and provide a cheap place for like-minded people to hang out. We don't operate on a profit making basis, we have normal jobs for our bills. All money from ticket sales goes into the night, booking the best bands possible and ensuring a fun night is had by all.
We are gonna be operating from The Phoenix, a cool little venue in Cavendish Square, just behind Oxford Circus. We will take over the venue on the first Saturday of every month, 9pm until 3am.
This Saturday 5th Feb we have a great line up"
The Ray Summers (http://www.myspace.com/theraysummers)
The Ray Summers are from Scotland and have been building up a massively loyal following north of the boarder, even outselling Beyonce in the Scottish Singles Charts. We're bringing them down because they are truly brilliant, remind me lots of early Coral, with all the tempo changes and foot stomping.
Parties In Belgrade (http://www.myspace.com/partiesinbelgrade)
Sharing the bill are London's own Parties In Belgrade, leaders of the so called ''Dirty Surf'' movement overtaking the East End, this band are one to watch. Backed by John Kennedy from XFM and Tom Robinson BBC Radio 6, the bands live shows are becoming well talked about, come and see why.
As well as the bands we have DJs until 3am so you can dance and drink and be merry.
