Playing acoustic or with full brass band backing Hey Negrita’s live show is something very special.
Howard Eliott Payne - http://www.myspace.com/howardeliottpayne
Howard Eliott Payne is regarded as one of the most talented singers and songwriters in the UK. Following success as front man for The Stands (2003 – 2005), Howard released his debut album Bright Light Ballards, produced by Ethan Johns (Kings of Leon / Ryan Adams) in April 2009 to critical success. Born in Liverpool, and having spent much of his teenage years in New York, ‘Bright Light Ballards is beautiful soulful mix of Liverpool Melody and hip NY city swagger’ (SXSW 2009).
Piney Gir - http://www.myspace.com/pineygir
Piney Gir (pronounced ‘girl’) was born and raised in Kansas City with this all singing country, and sometime electronic, star now based in London. Having released two albums previously on the Truck records label, Piney’s third offering ‘The Yearling’ released in September 2009 is a collection of heartfelt hokey-kitsch songs comparable to the late Kirsty McColl.
