LIBRARY TAPES
Library Tapes’ music sits somewhere between classical, ambient and experimental, but is always beautiful, subtle and affecting. Primarily the project of Eskilstuna resident David Wenngren, Library Tapes has also included contributions from luminaries such as Peter Broderick, Sylvain Chauveau and Danny Norbury. Whilst early recordings were based largely on piano and field recordings, 2008’s “A Summer Beneath the Trees”, their second long player for Make Mine Music, saw a move away from the minimal sound of previous releases, with rich layers of strings and a range of other instruments taking a more prominent role.

WOODCHUCKER
Woodchucker is Jonatan Nästesjö from the Swedish town of Jönköping. 2007 saw the release of debut album “Leaves never leave”, and Woodchucker was also named Artist of the year on the indie website Digfi. This winter, he’s got three new releases: “Nightmusic”, “Moments of a piano” are mainly suggestive ambient with piano/string loops played in old cassette players, while “Daybreak” goes back to where the first album left him.
