We played a gig in London t’other night bringing a paying crowd of 42 but were only paid £36. Apart from wondering what happened to the £174 we are starting to get a bit miffed with only ever playing to our own crowd. At the gig we had easily more than the other 3 bands mates thrown together.

I was wondering if free gigs get better crowds and if anyone can recommend any decent ones please. Also are there ones that supply a backline as some promoters?

We’d rather bring our following somewhere that was free to get in and then play to people we didn’t know rather than get f’all interest on my £7.20 share.
