Discovery Sundays at the Horse & Groom welcome good friends AFM to host another special Sunday with Craig Richards(Fabric) & Jozif (mog) selecting the perfect Sunday soundtrack from disco, funk, rediscovered un classics and rarities. On Sunday 29th November Craig Richards makes a welcome return to the Horse and Groom. Last months he sent a packed pub crazy with an eight an half hour set of disco and funk, oddities and rarities. An eclectic set which included everything but the tripped out house and techno he is renowned for playing. A rare opportunity to witness his talents outside of Fabric. Also on board for this Sunday special is AFM regular Jozif so these really promises to be another of those fun packed Sundays you would be foolish to miss. As usual the Horse and Groom will be laying a tasty selection of home made winter warmers, and bloody Marys.
Craig Richards
In 1998 Craig started an underground house night called Freaky Disco bringing together guests like Swayzak and Derrick carter. Craig and Terry Francis were residents and capturing a warped and wobbly techno house sound which lead to them being offered a weekly residency at fabric. The musical direction of the club would be built around the Craig in one room and Terry in another. Ten years forward the success of Craig’s weekly residency is integral to the success and worldwide recognition of fabric. As artist in residence and musical lynchpin, he is responsible for the modern approach taken to the programming of Saturday nights. As a dj his unique and uncompromising sound provides an identity for the club while his early morning sets are a London legend, never the same and always challenging.
jozif
Like many aspiring DJ's, early gigs taught jozif the humble art of playing to the smallest clubs, but also the attitude that an atmosphere is only what you make it. The belief that a good DJ plays to the best of their ability wherever they find themselves helped shape this consistent and captivating musician, who now rocks some our the most popular dance floors. His intense blend of juddering tech house and rich stripped grooves, have earned jozif gigs at benchmark clubs such fabric (Saturdays), Space Ibiza (Sundays) and The End (RIP)
