Marshall Teller / Halftime Parade - split 7" £2.50 - finally! seems like this one has been a long time coming, but i got it at last, and i hope you'll find it worth the wait. halftime parade crank out a haphazard, upbeat, punky indie rocker. an utter blast of jawbreaker meets superchunk kind of stuff with great, ragged vocals. marshall teller contrast on the other side with gruff vocalled misery in the broccoli vein. their most emo effort to date, so good! LAST ZILLION COPIES.

What Price, Wonderland - It is True, It is Shakey 12" lp £5.50 - follow up lp from the mighty WPW. 8 songs of frantic emo melodies and post punk inspired funky bits. all over the map from tilton to midwestmo to assfactor to minutemen.

Perfect Future - s/t : cd £4.00 : debut release from this 3 piece, playing a mix up of downbeat miserable emo that explodes from sombre twinkles into noisier hardcore. a bit kolya, a bit 400 years, the vocals are sung, talked and shouted by turns. really stoked with how this one turned out.
-- NEW IN --
Banner Pilot - Pass the Poison 12" ep £7.00 : blazing melodic punk rock like dillinger 4 / rivethead / lawrence arms. this came out on cd in 06 and is one of the best takes on the style in the past few years.
Box Elders - Alice & Friends 12" lp £10.00 : 60s garage pop fun, can't write much about this. simple, good time tunes with a little distortion and fuzz just to muss things up a touch.
Castevet - Summer Fences : cd £6.50 : RESTOCK - mathy emo / punk, somewhere between small brown bike and something more midwestmo.
CoCoComa - s/t 7" £3.50 : lo-fi garage / punk. buzzcocks / ramones / etc...
Dead Friends - s/t 12" lp £8.00 : RESTOCK : flailing hc punk somewhere between assfactor and born against. argmffffff i have a mouth full of marbles! this smokes.
Drunken Boat / Dan Padilla - split 7" £3.00 : always thought Dan P were one of the more interesting gruff bands, and this proves it. melodic, vocals are not that prominent, good song writing. catchy and rocking. drunken boat are no slouches on the b-side, doing their sloppy drunk radon type thing on the other side. cool split.
Drunkdriver - Knife Day 7" £3.00 : more noisy, head smashing, paranoid sounding hardcore from these loons. think this is older.
Drunkdriver / Mattin - list of profound insecurities 12" lp £9.00 : noisy. very noisy. aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.
Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate) - What It Takes To Move Forward : cd £7.00 : debut full length from these cats. intense indie / emo for the autumn, just like it used to be. mineral meets benton falls. so sweet. double vinyl version is out on sncl pretty soon!! i can't stop listening to this thing.
Fellow Project / Jonesin - split 7" £3.00 : fellow project is this sweet, grooving emo / post punk stuff. similar to tubers and such like. members of bridge and tunnel, and way better. would like to hear this on lp. Jonesin is gruff drunks like grabass charlestons / leatherface.
Fresh & Onlys - s/t 7" £4.00 : RESTOCK : 2 tracks of very thinly recorded psyche / garage / pop things.
Future Virgins - Easiest Years 7" £3.00 : snotty, basic melodic punk from these dudes who have a bunch of releases it seems
Grass Widow - s/t 12" ep £8.00 : 4 tracks of gloriously harmonied post punk. maybe a bit chillier sounding than the previous effort, but with all the elements that make them so fresh and astonishingly good. blinding.
Guiltmaker - dilemmas 12" lp £7.00 : dudes from crazy old florida screamo bands now playing rocking post-hardcore out of the late 90s a la quicksand and such like.
Hello Shitty People - s/t 12" lp £6.00 : this is from a few years back and is connected to radon. messy melodic punk like crimpshrine / descendents. very east bay.
North Lincoln - s/t 7" £2.75 : 3 more tracks of these guys rocking it out gruffly in a melodic fashion a la jawbreaker / the gibbons (oh wait, that's because 1 song is a gibbons cover). this is pretty raging, great production. one slower song as well shows they should vary things more. the lp should have been as good as this.
thee Oh Sees / Paul Cary - split 7" £3.50 : thee oh sees have a couple of blissed out slow psyche pop numbers here, liking this a lot. hope the lp is in this vein! paul cary is slothful and sorta swampy like if the strange boys played something really really slowly for, well you know, that reason bands generally start playing really slow. this split is ace.
the Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Higher than the stars 12" ep £6.00 : 4 song twelve inch single in the classic fashion. title track is sweet as anything, like being wrapped up in a warm winter duvet. if you are into this band you can't go wrong here. no remixes or weird shit, just 4 good songs.
Pinhead Gunpowder - Kick over the Traces 12" lp £8.00 : this is some kind of best of with a tonne of tracks on it. ex chino horde.
She Came From Above - s/t : cdep £2.00 : screamy post hardcore
Sleepwall - Is That Factual? 7" £3.00 : brand new seven from these dudes and it's a treat. the a-side shows the rocking, poppier side of the band. punked up indie rock not so far from archers of loaf. b-side is this repetitious, hypnotic indie rocker like dinosaur jr gone a bit emo / hum. super.
Sleepwall - s/t 7" £3.00 : RESTOCK : the 7" you want. indie rock / emo / punk, all in one. for fans of dinosaur jr, leatherface and good shit. so good!!
Songs for Moms - I Used to Belive in the West 12" lp £7.00 : although this lp looks resolutely bike punks, and is sorta cheesey lo-fi indie / punk / country, it defies all stereotypes by actually being any good. probably as it's a bunch of careless girls instead of smug, self aware dudes. plus its on thrillhouse, who know a good band when they hear one.
Three Mile Pilot - s/t 7" £3.50 : you daren't expect this seven to be any good. but it is. it picks up where another desert another sea left off, and the lp is going to be awesome!!! so good. great art too. erm, oh yeah, this is downbeat, hypnotic indie rock. really, you probably know what 3mp sound like if you are reading this. includes download code.
TV Ghost - s/t 12" £8.00 : fairly disturbing garage rock / psychedelic music that sounds like being trapped in a broken ghost train at the funfair and not having any chance of getting off. freak out.
Used Kids - Yeah No 12" lp £8.00 : folk from ergs! and modern machines playing american rock music with a bit of their more modern influences sprinkled in here and there. husker du style vocals, a bit of springsteen in there, some jam (the band, not actual jam), lots of 70s stuff and AM radios basically.
the Vivian Girls - Everything Goes Wrong 12" lp £9.75 : love 'em or hate 'em, decides whether you want to buy this. indie pop fuzziness, this lp is a bit more fleshed out than the last one but still a freewheeling exhuberant slice of enjoyment.
Whiskey Trench - Television 12" lp £7.50 : driving melodic gruff punk, but more in the jawbreaker vein than hot water music. ex sainte catherines i believe? good tunes.
