Composer and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Andrew Plummer, recently noted as one 'to look out for in 2009’ forged World Sanguine Report to sound his unique and genre defying compositions. W.S.R. are a "multi-headed beast of a band, boasting some of the freshest new talent on the UK scene" (Jazzwise). Drawing on a wealth of influences (Nancarrow, Beefheart, Messiaen, Waits, Patton to name a few), W.S.R. form a frightening and formidable ensemble; strength and beauty, heavy as lead, blurring “musical boundaries in beautiful and brutal ways" (Time Out).

Plummer who "is quite clearly a deranged swamp beast trapped inside the body of an Englishman." (Wrath Records) pens music that reinterprets musical genre through juxtaposition of composition, cut throat improvisations and song, loaded with tales from the dark side of life. These “heartrendering wonky pieces, sound part New Orleans brass band part Mr Bungle to a spellbinding effect" (Jazzwise) capturing "the despondency and antagonism of the most disaffected and alienated elements of Western counter-culture." In support of their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Third One Rises’ this will be World Sanguine Report’s debut national tour, with kind support from Jazz Services Ltd, and Arts Council England.
