"It’ll be fascinating to see where Hooray for Humans go from here. Safekeeping is a debut full of sparkle and promise – cause for celebration indeed." - AU Magazine
Hands up who wants to die http://www.myspace.com/theapocalypsehasbegun
Serious messers capturing the zeitgeist in the form of a butterfly with a sharks head. Dirgecore - The apocalypse has begun....
Hands Up Who Wants to Die exube the same ferocious energy that their name implies; Barry stomping about the venue, bellowing his neo-fire-and-brimstone rants across some brutal riffs and ballsy, thumping drums. In your face mayhem!
Super adventure club http://www.myspace.com/superadventuremusic
Since their conception in 2007, Super Adventure Club have taken their freaked out rock/jazz/pop adventure from Inverness to Bordeaux stopping at a fair few places on their way. They have met, played with and befriended some lovely bands in the process including Papier Tigre, Oso, Future of The Left and Adebisi Shank. Currently writing and recording their second album Super Adventure Pants look forward to meeting you very soon and showering you with adventurous love kisses.
"Edinburgh's raddest new band... know it’s no fun playing serious music if you have to take it seriously" ... "inventive brilliance"
Chalk Horror: "****" The Skinny
Wander phantom http://www.myspace.com/wanderphantom
Formerly members of Terrashima, The Swarm and The Jesus Years … Wander Phantom is a band from the Nottingham and Derby area of the East Midlands.
With the dynamics and structures of a band like Slint, they specialize in the dark side of punk rock; popularised to some extent by bands like The Birthday Party, The Jesus Lizard, Pere Ubu or The Nation of Ulysses.
The band is a four piece with NO guitar player, this is purely 4 string action! One low register bass combines with a higher register baritone bass to create a unique sound, backed by insanely taut drums and fronted with intense passionate vocals.
THIS SHOW WILL BE AMAZING...DO SPREAD THE WORD PLEASE AS THE BANDS ARE TRAVELLING A LONG WAY :-)
