Fri Nov 6th - Kevin Rowland of Dexys DJs at HDIF in Brixton!
We're ridiculously excited to announce that Kevin Rowland will be returning to DJ at HDIF in Brixton on Friday November 6th. Kevin DJ-ed for us at the Canterbury Arms in February 2007, and it was a spectactular night. Not only was he the perfect gentleman, but he played a superb selection of soul, ska, and classic pop (from Bowie, Roxy Music and T Rex to Toots And The Maytals and The Four Tops), and he sang over a couple of songs (including a duet with Kes, who used to do the door at HDIF!). And then he stayed on after his set to dance and hang out and enjoy the music. It's no exaggeration to say that that night was one of the best ever HDIFs, and we're very very happy that he's agreed to come back.
The night will run as usual, from 9pm-2.30am, with Kevin DJ-ing between 10.30pm-midnight. Tickets are the usual price of £4 for members and £6 for non members on the night. Advance tickets are £6 and available from here: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/61916
