Neville Watson (Rush Hour, Clone, Dissident), Old St. London, 24/10
We’re back, and double excited about our guest for our next Life Bar event on October 24th.
Life have recently installed a new custom soundsystem, hand-built and imported from Japan.
Neville Watson is one of the most highly thought-of DJs in the game, one of the original residents of seminal 80’s acid house party Checkpoint Charlie, and now a hot as you like producer with tracks on Rush Hour, Clone and Dissident all featuring heavily in the sets of DJs from Steve Bug to Gilles Peterson.
He’s fresh from co-authoring the Raving ‘89 book, a retrospective of the late 80’s culture that he was a core part of.
It should be a night to remember!
Neville’s recent outings on Rush Hour, Clone and Dissident have been hammered all over the world by techno DJs and lovers of all things analogue alike. His heritage and knowledge of house music dates all the way back to his origins as a resident of Checkpoint Charlie alongside Mat Carter, where shared the the bill with the likes of Laurent Garnier, Andrew Weatherall, Colin Dale, Craig Richards, Slam and many more. Some of these experiences have been documented in the recent tome Raving 89, a photographic account of the early years of dance music in the UK, published by seminal online resource DJ History.
Entrance is £4 on the door. Say WHAT!?!
