TENDER TRAP
Tender Trap is most recent vehicle for venerable indie-pop icons Amelia Fletcher and Rob Pursey. Amelia was originally lead singer with C86 legends Talulah Gosh, who were joined by Rob just before the band’s break-up. The pair went on to play in the seminal bands Heavenly and Marine Research. Tender Trap were formed in 2001 when they teamed up with John “DJ Downfall” Stanley, another Marine Research-er. They’ve been quiet for a while, but are back as a five-piece for 2009, having played at this year’s Indietracks and with records due out on the always brilliant Fortuna Pop!. Essential listening for all followers of twee, indiepop, C86, etc.
