Underachievers Please Try Harder this Saturday in Manchester
This will be a very special evening. Come to the gig, come to the clubnight upstairs. Come to both. Just come to Saki damnit! You pays your money you takes your choice!
Here are the bands...
THE CAVALCADE
For fans of Felt, The Field Mice and The Clientele
They hail from Preston and write delicate, intelligent and quite wonderful traditionally old-fashioned indie-pop music. They've only just released their first EP, but already have gigs with every good indie-pop promoter in the country (How Does it Feel to Be Loved, Twee as Fuck,...us?).

AMIDA
For fans of Bishop Allen, Pavement and Beat Happening
Manchester's favourite lo-fi jingly jangly indie-pop outfit. An Underachievers fave.

OH STOCKHOLM!
Best summed up in Sandman review-
'Bright Eyes has competiton.'

DOUGA

Johnny from PLANK! will be debuting his solo stuff with a short set, and pretty special it is too! Influenced by the atmospherics of people like Grizzly Bear, yet sung in quite a traditionally Manchester sounding voice. Very interesting indeed. Be early to say you saw his first ever gig (solo)!
