"A fete worse than death!" launches at the lovely Queen of Hoxton on Sunday 16th August and promises to be a special party indeed…why so special you ask? Well if you could imagine all the best fun bits of a village fete, your best disco party then mix them up and put them into a club space and this is what you are going to get. Starting with the amazing rooftop space (with panoramic views of London) which is going to be totally transformed in a ‘Village Green’ area with a fantastic bbq, loads of fun games (all with a little twist we might add) including Tombola with some amazing prizes, rooftop bingo plus a selection of fantastic stalls selling homemade tasty cakes and quiches, organic soaps & local designers right through to celebrity record stalls where you can find your fav djs selling some gems. The venue will be providing a wonderful selection of cocktails and jugs of pimms and some very fun drinking games to enhance the mood.Musically the idea is aout pulling in guests who are not afraid to dig a bit deeper into their vast collections to provide the perfect soundtrack to the days fun..expect the unexpected

Nathan Gregory Wilkins
Nathan promotes two monthly parties in London, the very hush-hush Private Party (http://www.tamcorporation.com/pp.html) that he co-promotes with musicians Mickey Moonlight and Zongamin At Private Party they feature live performance and art alongside DJ'ing. Hot Chip's Alexis Turner recently played for them and they've involved various artists, curators and fashion designers including Giles Deacon, Julie Veerhoeven, Pablo De la Barra, Susumu Mukai, Will Sweeney, Will Broome, Katie Hillier, Izzie Klingels and many more.Their other party, E.S.P. is what Nathan describes as "a monthly exotic disco fix", is held at new venue The Star Of Bethnal Green, where Nathan and guests showcase underground disco music both new and old. Damon Martin (Disco bloodbath)
Damon Martin is one-third of the notorious Disco Bloodbath crew who've been turning heads with their frenetic take on the disco sound in basements across East London and on dancefloors across Europe. Just as happy causing peak time disco damage as he is sound-tracking the early hours with a box of sleaze, Damon enjoys a well-earned reputation as an impeccably extremely varied selector who can dig deep with the best of them but isn't afraid of dropping a big record or two. In the last year or so Damon has rocked discerning dancefloors atBugged Out, secretsundaze, Horse Meat Disco, Fabric, Matter, The Warehouse Project, (Manchester) Big Chill Festival, Picknick (Berlin),Scala (Berlin) and more.Look out for his remixes as part of Disco Bloodbath (check out their interpretation of Franz Ferdinand's new single) as well as Channel 83;a brand new label and production project alongside Gucci Soundsystem's Ben Rymer.
Neil Thornton (Lasermagnetic/ Tropicana)

Neil Thornton has been running disco parties in London for many moons now alongside Lasermagnetic partner in crime Johnny Chingas. Memorable parties they have thrown have included Greg Wlson's 'Credit to the edit' album Launch, The Dr. Nishimura & Danny Wang Warehouse bash, Discoconvention: a 3 room disco extravaganza with IF, Alden Tyrell & Horse Meat Disco, Chromatics' first ever UK appearance, Typhoon with Beppe Loda and a Moutain of One, Padded Cell’s Album release party with Andrew Weatherall. Since then the boys have taken their brand of high gloss, and underground disco with a twist of Rotterdam & Berlin and Chicago to places like Fabric, Big Chill festival, Nouveau Casino in Paris, Tape Club in Berlin. This year he has also been co-running the Tropicana rooftop parties at The Queen of Hoxton

Dave Rose (Future Nature)
Dave is veteran of the London underground club scene having played on the circuit for over 15 years playing at some of the capitals coolest joints. Renowned for his musical knowledge Dave loves to mix his sets up so be prepared for the unexpected, but one thing is for sure is Mr Rose knows how to rock a party. Over the past year he has been involved in the Future Nature events taking place in East London.
