Bang the Bore II – Graan, Masterly! & Farewell, Angels & Demons At Play, The Hola
Sunday 19th July
The Hobbit, Bevois Valley, Southampton
7pm-10pm
FREE ENTRY (but donations towards costs gratefully accepted)
The second in our series of noisy experimental and/or improvisatory concerts featuring the best local bands with headline appearances by the strangest and nastiest acts from out-of-town.
GRAAN
If Aleister Crowley, H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allen Poe and John Dee formed a band then this would be the result. London's Graan will crush your spirit with deafening static, claustrophobic low end, blasphemous ranting and monomaniacal pursuit of The Riff. http://www.myspace.com/graanulaar
MASTERLY! & FAREWELL
Half of Hunting Lodge, half of Defibrillators and half of Boduf Songs' touring band... but somehow they're still just a duo. Southampton's Clive Henry and Seth Cooke might batter you with metal percussives, squawk or drone with electronics or awkwardly serenade you with pedal steel guitar… they're just sorry that they can't play sax until they can raise the cash to get their dental work done.

ANGELS AND DEMONS AT PLAY
Clattering tangle of big band free noise hell from members of ANGELS and YOU'RE SMILING NOW BUT WE'LL ALL TURN INTO DEMONS. Jazz in a rock dustbin, also.

THE HOLA
Ignacio Agrimbau is a Southampton-based composer, improviser, song writer, lecturer, collector of exotic instruments and music therapist. The Hola is one of his longest running projects; an ever-changing line up exploring indeterminacy in music through graphic scores, improvisation, game playing and leftfield takes on traditional songs and anime themes. Unique and unpredictable.
