www.myspace.com/zeskamusic
Zeska is resident of the fantastic Another Fine Mess parties which have been running for 2 years in the capital they have booked some fantastic guests of late including Craig Richards, Stimming and Steve Kotey at their fantastic parties. Zeska will be playing a upbeat mix of house, Disco, funk and electro with some party classics thrown into the mix to make sure Friday night kick starts the weekend.
Sat 11th Mr Shiver (Size Doesn’t Matter)
Mr Shiver have been now for quite some time in the Capital, his 7” inch only record party, 'Size Doesn't Matter' which has been running for almost 6 years now at Ginglik in Shepherd's Bush. He is also residents at the infamous 'Aphrodisiacs' parties and can often be found spinning for parties such as Mulletover, East Village and Fabric. Refusing to be pigeonholed, he is the definition of eclectic. Obviously it all depends where he is playing and who he is playing for...but he is as much at home playing soul, funk and disco as they are house and techno. For Shiver there is only good music and bad music.
Fri 17th Death of a Pony
Death Of A Pony is not your average DJ act. Formed in late 2008, Ilana Belsky & Jess The Cat decided to team up as a DJ and production duo and begin putting the fun back into dance music. In only 6 months DOAP has really established a name for themselves on the London circuit with gigs at Egg, Potty Mouth Disco, Tailspin and their most regular promotion friends Bloom. If you are a massive electro fan who enjoys dancing like your body is made of fruit pastels and you like laughing until milk comes out of your eyes then this is probably the DJ act you most need to see this year.
The DOAP ethos is simple; to only play the tracks they love and to make sure the audience lose their minds on the dance floor. From figit house to breaks, electro to punk rock and indie house and 80s pop, Death Of A Pony will keep you on your toes and throw in their own bootlegs. Their overall focus is on quality music and technically precise DJing favouring the French electro sound but with a very British sense of humour
Sat 18th Donkey Bill
"Donkey Bill know how to cold rock a party. As a long running Dust resident, this fiery character blends a unique mix of funk, house, disco and soul alongside whatever else he thinks will turn the party out. You'll never hear the same set twice, but you'll get double down every time! Tell your friends, Donkey Bill's in town!!"
Friday 24th Joe Lye (Beat Market)
Old and new indie, disco, house, retro and 80's classics from Blackalicious to Black Lace...Joe has been nick-named 'Joe Many DJs' after his legendary events @ 93 Feet East and keeps up the good work like his fellow Belgium brothers. Joe also plays all around town including a lot of after show parties for some very famous designers so you never know who might just pop in when Mr Lye is on the decks.
Sat 25th Mikioni
Minkioni female dj tag team providing a play list so cool it hurts fresh from rocking the Dalston Superstore these girls really mix it up with House, 80's, funk, pop and italo anthems all get a workout, as the girls stand by their mantra that you can find disco in everything - if you play it loud enough. For a good couple of years, no East London after party has been complete without an impromptu lounge-rave instigated by Minkioni - a female DJ tag-team with the force to drop tunes so good, you instantly forget the party you were just at. House, 80's, funk, pop and italo anthems all get a workout, as the girls stand by their mantra that you can find disco in everything - if you play it loud enough.
