THE DEAD FORMATS
Their self titled debut mini album released 1st June through VISIBLE NOISE
The year is 2009, and the battle is just beginning…This is THE DEAD FORMATS
'Everyone gets frustrated and aggressive, and I'd sooner take my aggression out on a guitar than on a person.'
Tired of dull, tired, uninspired British music? Then it’s time you met THE DEAD FORMATS. The six sharply dressed young lads hail from Chelmsford, Essex and bring a fresh twist on British culture for the modern era as they wear their flags on their sleeves, tipping their hat to 70’s pop, punk, soul and sound systems.

THE SKYLINE
Thankfully choosing not to go down either the generic Emo or generic Metal core routes that many young bands opt to pursue, Manchester’s The Skyline offer up a decidedly more inventive sound that mixes up the off-kilter edge of Coheed and Cambria, the hard riffing of Every time I Die and the Tuneful muscle of Alexisonfire... An enthusiastic, energetic and above ambitious all effort from a young band who are well worth keeping an eye on.' A Short Fanzine About Rocking issue 24 Spring 09.
We had these guys playing our 2nd stage last week...but it won't be long before they're headlining the Main one. Bags of potential...actually being realised. 2009 deserves to be a great year for these lot. Check em out!Pop Bubble Rock @Moho Live - April '09
‘Print Error is a spirited E.P by Manchester based band The Skyline. Out of the four tracks the one that will grab your attention most will be the final track ‘Tightropes’ which has a lot of character showcasing some impressive guitar playing, changing paces and all in all being quite a turbulent progressive infused journey. Not a bad release. The guys sound talented and dedicated to the cause.’ Black Velvet issue 60 May 09.
‘This is an impressive dose of straight up rock it gets rather punk and a little progressive in places and they’ve got some sweet guitar work happening. Give them a spin.’ Rock Sound issue 122 May 09.
