Pull Yourself Together presents... worriedaboutsatan + Axxonn
Manchester's favourite indiepop night goes dark! Whilst we love all things pop, we also have a side which needs shoegaze, postrock and general loud things. With this in mind we are absolutely delighted to be bringing together this incredible lineup...
worriedaboutsatan
Leeds' worriedaboutsatan have long been PYT favourites following their early EPs. However, this year they have moved on to a whole different level with the release of their debut LP Arrivals. The album has been getting some excellent reviews, and rightly so. Mixing dark shoegaze with flashes of house, this is a band who are making really exciting and inventive music - reaching a postrock sound which is pretty much brand new.
"a sumptuous, immersive piece, populated with lonely clicks, earthly organs and stirring synthetic strings. infrequently a voice appears; disembodied, quietly squalling, it is not quite of our world – much like worriedaboutsatan, in fact"

Axxonn
We are so excited that we have convinced Axxonn to drop into Manchester on their mammoth European tour, as they are one of the best bands we have discovered this year. Hailing from Brisbane, Axxonn sound like Fuck Buttons, MBV and M83 - which to us is a perfect combo! Check out the 'Should You Fear Hell' EP which is available for download on their MySpace page.
"" More fucked noise can be found on “Should You Fear Hell?”, the debut ep from Brisbane based band AXXONN. Featuring one long drone, that starts in relaxed fashion, descends into hell, then saunters out of the other side, wiser and none the worst for its adventures; this is an engaging and worthwhile listen that benefits from a major crank in the volume department."
