Shonen Knife-First UK tour in 16 years!!!!!!!
One of the most influential bands to come out of Japan, Shonen Knife, will be returning to Europe after 16 years with a ten date tour in the UK. The all female group, known for their optimistic, sweet and energetic twist on 70's style punk, have gathered a number of iconic fans through their 28-year career, including Sonic Youth, Redd Kross and led Nirvana's very own Kurt Cobain to say "When I finally got to see them live, I was transformed into a hysterical nine-year-old girl at a Beatles concert".

Support for the Brixton shows has been confirmed to include anglo-Japanese three piece Screaming Tea Party and London-based Japanese visual cyber artist Sputniko! on 17 June, and Japanese all girl bubblegum-pop-rock trio No Cars with New York duo The Debutante Hour on 24 June, while support slots at the Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes date have been filled by North London art rockers Smallgang, toasty Japanese artist Toast Girl, and the return of Sputniko!, plus DJs and special guests.
The remaining dates will have support from The Lovely Eggs in Cardiff, Chimpanzees and Death, No Less in Leicester, The Rocky Nest in Hull, Poppy and The Jezebels in Birmingham, and No Cars in Brighton.
