Blinding rays of blissed-out hypnotic drones from Los Angeles. Bethany Consentino and Amanda Brown create haunting collisions of ethereal modernist sounds and primal rhythms from outside the Western hemisphere. Amanda co-runs the totally exciting Not Not Fun Records, (U.S. Girls, Raccoo-oo-oon, Magik Markers, etc) which should give you a good idea as to where they’re coming from.

SUN ARAW
A solo project for Cameron Stallones of Magic Lantern. Buzzy drones and Spacemen 3-esque loopage meander threateningly with a hint of Acid Mothers. Party vibes have been captured by Not Not Fun and Woodsist, but they’re probably all sold out.

HELHESTEN
A trio of cosmic jammers spread between Glasgow and the Essex countryside. This meeting of rural and urban manifests as skittering, almost kora-like, guitar, droning fuzz and strings, and spacey psyche reeds. Expansive free-folk sounds can be found on their releases on Blackest Rainbow and Upset The Rhythm.
