THE WAVE PICTURES
The Wave Pictures are an English indie band, with a gawky fuck-it honesty, poignant poetic provincial stories, Midland accents twanging through on their crushingly self-aware lyrics. These are good lads who would make you a proper cup of tea and get the chocolate digestives in. They have worked with Herman Dune and Jeffrey Lewis and we are very happy to be part of their path from dirty pubs to super indie stardom. Hefner are a clear influence, along with the guitar playing of Tom Verlaine. The release of their second album through Moshi Moshi is just another step to becoming stars in their own right.
“Only occasionally does music intoxicate like this: once every decade (he says, at random) – counting backwards, early Pavement, Galaxie 500, The Pastels… I’m sure you can make up your own reference points” (Everett True, Plan B)

ESIOTROT
Esiotrot are a 7 strong indie pop band from Brighton, meeting at university through a love of art and wearing cardigans. With a penchant for badly tuned guitars, they have often been compared to the Velvet Underground, Hefner, The Pastels and Beat Happening amongst others.
“Hefner are maybe the most obvious connection, but there are hints of The Pastels, The Orchids, The Visitors, Ballboy, Hidden Cameras… I really do love Esiotrot with a large chunk of my heart.” (Tangents)

BONNE IDÉE ?
Brilliant new (mostly) female five-piece from Gothenburg, Sweden, whose gorgeous accordion, organ and post-punk guitar songs sound like a twentysomething Those Dancing Days or an art house-loving Dolly Mixtures. This is only their third (or fourth) UK show and we're very excited to be putting them on.
