FREE MANCHESTER SHOEGAZE GIG!!! SATURDAY 28th MARCH!!!
Daniel Land and The Modern Painters will be playing their first proper Manchester show this year, headlining the newly-opened venue The Hope Mill; a converted cotton mill just outside Manchester city centre in the Ancoats area.
They will only be doing a couple of other Manchester dates later this year, so they are aiming to make this a very special show. It's free entry, five mins walk from town, and a saturday night too.
Other support acts in a similar style to be confirmed shortly.
Daniel Land & The Modern Painters recently released a double A-side single on Sonic Cathedral records. The critically acclaimed release was mixed by Mark Peters (Engineers) and Ulrich Schnauss received glowing reviews from, among others, NME (the band sounds "like Slowdive reimagined by Phil Spector") and The Guardian (who think Daniel sounds "like the spawn of Liz Fraser and Antony Hegarty in space") and also radio play courtesy of Rob Da Bank at Radio 1 and Guy Garvey at 6 Music.
