FUZZ CLUB, SHEFFIELD, 19/3 - ART BRUT + THE CROOKES (£5adv.)
Coming up to continue the birthday celebrations its...
ART BRUT
Indie giants and diarists of the dancefloor, ART BRUT are back on the Fuzz Club stage to celebrate our 10th birthday in their inimitable style.
Eddie Argos and the gang will no doubt rattle through the hits that have become staples on the Foundry dancefloor over the years ("Emily Kane", "Formed A Band", "My Little Brother", "Bang Bang Rock and Roll") plus some stuff off new album "Art Brut vs. Satan", due for release on April 20th and produced by Frank Black of the Pixies, rock royalty no less.

THE CROOKES
Still students but already causing a stir in Sheffield, local lads THE CROOKES return to the Fuzz stage which they graced last October. In that 5 month period they have recorded a stack of lovely new jangly pop numbers and even got played on Steve Lamacq's Radio 1 show. "Backstreet Lovers" has even become a Fuzz dancefloor staple!
Catch this most delightful C86-esque guitar pop outfit before they become megastars and start bedding Alexa Chung n' Daisy Lowe. Not at the same time, though, The Crookes are not gang-bangers, I can categorically deny this.
