Decorum presents: HOT BONE, CALCIUS REPTON and YOSHY!
Bristol County Sports Club, 40 Colston Street, Bristol
Wednesday 11th March 2009
Doors 8pm
£4 in advance, £5 on the door (tickets available from Bristol Ticket Shop and The Here Shop in Stokes Croft)
This is likely to be the last ever noisy Decorum rock show at the Bristol County Sports Club due to the council and their decibel police, so come down for a celebration of all things loud and DIY. It’s almost exactly a year on from the first ever Decorum show there, so we'll be celebrating in fine decorous style. Here’s the rumpus:
HOT BONE

Frantic math-metal duo Hot Bone, from Manchester, make gloriously technical slices of rock fury. Imagine Lightning Bolt with Yngwie Malmsteen on guitar, then add some bizarre headgear that looks like it was stolen from the set of The Wicker Man, and you have Hot Bone. They’ve become renowned around the country for their jaw-droppingly intense shows, so they’re certain to give the County Sports Club a right royal bludgeoning. A ridiculous, fierce, and totally unmissable live band, guaranteed to make you smile.
CALCIUS REPTON

Thundering drums and savage bass are the order of the day for this shiny new two-piece from Newcastle. Like a cheekier Hella, or a quirkier That Fucking Tank, their music ranges from full-on, balls-out, technical rock crush, to floating 16 bit video game noise a la The Advantage and Duracell. Like whiling away a late night, playing a nightmarish game of Street Fighter 2 with Les Claypool and Chris Corsano, this is an intricate and original sound that’s not to be missed.
YOSHY!
http://www.myspace.com/yoshyalrite
This will be the first ever show for Yoshy!, a brand spanking new Bristol band featuring Team Brick and members of Flamingo 50 and Final. We’ve been told they are a ‘spiky yelpy puppies groovin' bumnote orchestrum’, so expect noisy, ramshackle post-punk action.
