if you haven't heard of her outside of the Le Tigre song Hot Topic, she's an amazing filmmaker whose best known work (which we'll be showing) was done in the 70's in New York and can sort of be considered the bridge between the Warhol dominated NYC film scene of the '60s and the Nick Zedd/Richard Kern transgressive stuff of the '80s. her films are advertently feminist, lower east side starving artist stuff, mostly starring Lydia Lunch, and full of all kinds of amazing.
