MONSTER KILLED BY LASER
This hard (Prog)rocking 4 piece have been tearing shit up since 2001 with roots born in Wakefield but now based in Leeds. As well as official approval by the 70s Italian Horror/Progmeisters GOBLIN, the band have flexed the boards with such greats as, Acid Mothers Temple, Big Business, Coughs, Dalek, Melvins, Oxes, The Pump, Sunburned, Wolf eyes Etc… Have been known to emit a certain presence and sex appeal in the live situation with an underlying aroma of mystique. Currently working on new full length album set for release in 09.

CLECKHUDDERSFAX
"Cleckhuddersfax are something special. They are one of those things where you’re not sure why you like it but as soon as you come into contact with it you just want more all the time and nothing else will do. Unlike similar, immediately engrossing things like say erm… Ribena, or DMT Cleckhuddersfax will not leave you broke, destitute, sleeping on other people’s floors or toothless. The band are part of a group of vaguely London based outfits like Spin Spin The Dogs, Man Aubergine and Poltergroom who have all ended up sounding weird and intensely fun without that ever being the intention." – VICE MAGAZINE
debut long play cd now available on CHINCHILLA-TONE RECORDS

ACTION BEAT
Action Beat – the noise band from Bletchley are an improv noise/no-wave band often made up of musicians who are available to play the gig on any particular day. They sound quite like early sonic youth, Glenn Branca, Swans, Rhys Chatham and a bunch of nineties grunge bands. Action beat normally have at least 4 guitarists, a bassist and up to four drummers! On Southern Records.

INDICA RITUAL
Indica Ritual are a five piece band from liverpool who play what might be loosely termed “prog-pop”. Indica ritual are a dynamic, lively and inventive five piece with dreams of duran duran-esq pop perfection. For fans of Cardiacs, DEVO, prince, the dismemberment plan and obviously Duran Duran. Feature members of A.P.A.T.T, Stig Noise and Balloons.

PICORE (spain)
Four "veteran" members of the spanish hardcore scene that don't play hardcore. Their style is closer to some kind of avant-trance-rock with a basic/organic sound, winding structures, lyrics in Spanish and a political, ironic and aggressive code. Their attitude, on and down the stage, comfortably moves them away from any commercial scene. After 5 years of composing, 3 albums, 250 shows, 2 european tours also working for other bands as a DIY collective (Enablers, Charlottefield, Ches Smith, Damo Suzuki, Joe Lally, Zu, These Arms Are Snakes, Pulled Apart by Horses, Poltergroom and many others), they are visiting the UK for the first time.

WONDERSWAN
Wonderswan formed in early 2008 in Leeds with the intention of knocking out some skuzzy lo-fi nineties style rock. Currently carving a niche as Leeds’ finest slackers, with ramshackle but charming live performances typified by playing their songs far too fast and falling over. They sound very much like Pavement which makes me happy. Feature ex-members of boyracer and grammatics.

UPRIGHTS
Local super grungers UPRIGHTS conjure up an impressive noise! Think Minutemen with hints of early Mudhoney and Nirvana.

FRINGES
Forceful yet right pretty rock jazzing from Bristol deliver their melodic mix of guitars, maths and sax. Short, impatient post-rock songs with angular dynamics.

MARKMAKE
A warm trio of boy, girl, boy from outer space play clattering drum, melodious woody bass and twangy guitar. Laced up with electro tones Markmake play a loose blend of Can rhythm, folk and 60's lounge.

WASP DISPLAY
Coming from the ashes of Nottingham's Shooting Victor Francis and Not In This Town, Wasp Display play fast, caught up with the singers of a bygone age. Loud songs and bits that remind us of The Swing Kids, which is always a good thing! I think they may also have some baritone guitar action in the mix too! Good lads!
