Volcano! is a three-piece rock band from Chicago, Illinois that draw on influences ranging from Classic rock, Post-punk, Free Jazz andNoise Rock. The Leaf Label released the trio's critically acclaimed debut, Beautiful Seizure, in the USA in late 2005 and worldwide in early 2006.
volcano! does the following things in their music: the drummer plays in and out of time. he plays really loud and really quiet. cymbals sounding ringing. he plays with toys and he plays with sounds. and much in this way, the electronics guy samples real noises and then totally f?s with them. it sounds crazy, but it?s in the context of structured songs and pop melodies. the finest singing glass, he crushes into fine powder. the electronics guy also play bass? and sometimes melodica. the guitar player also explores his instrument, switching between odd guitar sounds and rock ?n? roll riffs. the fastest of strumming. he also sings with his mouth. he sings some tango trills. he sings some noisy frills. he sings, ?blue and green bubbles?. he sings the state of the world. he sings, ?fafafafa.? and when they do these things, it sounds good.
