Rip This Joint present- Yokozuna/Ken Kobayashi/Bo Ningen/Hanjiro, Camden 15/11/08
More from Rip This Joint at The Constitution, Saturday 15th November, 2008, 8-late. For a recession busting 2GBP we present a multinational evening of sizzling fuzzy, chirping pop noize that somehow could only be experienced in London (or maybe Tokyo...or New York...alright, alright or Berlin, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Barcelona, what's your problem anyhow?)
Yokozuna - "'So who do you guys sound like?’We kinda think it’s like that feeling you get, when you lean back in a chair? like, way back, so you’re just about to fall over backwards? it’s like that. you don’t know what’s gonna happen next, but it’ll sure be interesting"
Ken Kobayashi (& friends) - With a childhood in Tokyo, London, and Berlin this young troubador has been influenced by the music from all three locales. With a full band to back him up too.
Bo Ningen - Japanese progressive-punks with a penchant of their girlfriends' clothes,Chaotic and unpredictable live with a seeming aversion to standing still and a love for climbing and exploring the speaker stacks, furniture and general surroundings. is a loud, glorious serving of that threatens to knock your head off.
Hanjiro - A London based Japanese 4-piece Psychedelic Ambient Jazz Pop band who have been together little over a year though play with a intuitiveness that belies this..
