Film School, Our Broken Garden, Peter Broderick, The Lea Shores... and more!
*** It's a busy few days for Sonic Cathedral as we're opening for worship on both Sunday and Monday at The Social, London W1. On Sunday (October 19) we've got the fantastic Film School, who are over from California to support British Sea Power. This is their only UK headline date this year and they will be joined by our old friends The Lea Shores. Doors open at 6pm for this one and the live music starts at 8pm. Then, on Monday (October 20), we've got Our Broken Garden, aka Anna Brønsted and her magnificently melancholy Mazzy Star-isms. Supporting Anna is her sometime Efterklang bandmate Peter Broderick, whose debut album, 'Home', is one of the most incredible records we've heard all year - a bit like a mix of Nick Drake, Eno circa 'Another Green World' and Slowdive. DJs will be from both acts' label, the brilliant Bella Union. Finally, next Wednesday (October 22), we'll be DJing at M83's show at the Scala. Anyway, enough waffle, here are the details:
