Things are getting busy at Partisan PR, and we're looking to hire a full-time press assistant. It's an entry-level position (read: entry-level pay), but with minimal admin and plenty of responsibility from the start.

About us: We're a two-person music PR company based on Hoxton Square, covering National and Online PR. Our acts include The Wombats, Biffy Clyro, Will Young, Sneaky Sound System and Ray LaMontagne. We share office space with a couple of other companies so it's more sociable during the day than our employee count would suggest.

The position: the press assistant would be directly involved in campaigns by taking full responsibility for dealing with journalists in certain sections of the press. They would also assist with writing reports, general admin, invoicing, covering interviews and anything else that crops up. Rather than being bogged down in admin, we'd want them to be involved from the start with running parts of our campaigns to get them good experience quickly.

What we're looking for: a bright, self-motivated music fan looking for their first job in the industry. Must be able to work effectively with minimal guidance, and have a real desire to make their mark by getting results. A way with the written word and a friendly telephone manner are essential, and being out-and-about at gigs would be useful too.

The position is a great chance to get experience in working across national and online PR with a good roster of acts, and be heavily involved from the outset.
