What an absolute mouth watering prospect of ear bashing beauty it is two catch two of the US’s finest purveyors of noise ridden pop, No Age and Times New Viking, placed alongside the ever so slightly twee indie popsters - with a large whiff of God Speed - Welsh seven piece Los Campesinos!.
Signed to Matador, Times New Viking’s humble home recorded DIY approach will blow the speaker cones no problem. But with a layer of fuzz that acts like a security blanket there’s a righteous pop sound tucked away underneath all that lo-fi that creeps out through the lush feedback.

Signed to Sub Pop, No Age are a two piece from LA. One guitar, one drummer and a wealth of self recorded samples is enough to establish the think layer of delirious haze underpinned by addictive sing-a-long melodies that makes up their wall of fedback sound.

Finally, from the valleys, Los Campesinos! dropped one of this year’s most hotly tipped records, Hold On Now, Youngster… and will follow it up this Winter with a second album. We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed comes out just before the day before this show on Wichita: expect more spirited and inventive indie-pop with impressive hooks and melodic sweeps than you can shake a stick at.
