A Mixtape Affair returns to Islington Bar Academy on Friday 19th September to bring you an evening of Indie gems past and present. Featuring the hottest live bands and the best guest DJs playing A-sides, B-Sides and Rarities from our vaults- if it makes us dance it’s going on.

Headlining the night we have the fantastic Parka live. Following tours with Foals, Boy Kill Boy & The Young Knives these Scottish indie rockers are a force to be reckoned with, with Q describing them as a ‘must-see live band’ Their ‘Disco Dancer’ single was Alex Zane’s record of the week on the XFM Breakfast Show and the album ‘Attack of the Hundred Yard Hardman’ is out now, so come down and see what the fuss is about.

Support comes from Dallas, playing love songs for punk rockers.

Guest DJs are Toby Opperman and Homework + Detention (Another Music = Another Kitchen) playing alongside resident DJ Jimmy Mixtape so expect a riot- you have been warned.
