The University of Birmingham Independent Music Society is brings you a day of fun and festivities to welcome new and returning students to the city's vibrant music scene.

CATS IN PARIS
With their unique Power-prog-pop, filled with fuzzy shrieking violins, effects-heavy doom bass, boy-girl shouting and frantic drums Cats and Paris put on a live show which is an unmissable spectacle.

Bristol's most manic free-wheeling noisepop collective. On Record Munch Munch are at once Delightfully DIY and fearless polyrhythmic. Live they are Instrument Swapping, Shambollic genius.

are an energetic three-piece from Bedford who create a frantic pop squal. A rampant, hard-hitting profusion of smashing guitars and basslines their amazing art punk grooves are shrill, savage yet undeniably catchy.

Rising from the ashes of Birmingham noise rock legends Distophia. Calories take the power and passion of their predecessors and distil it into a stripped down and pop sound. Joyous and uplifting, they're one of the best bands in Birmingham.

Also just added are the devastatingly dancable Mirror! Mirror! Anyone who's seen them before know that they always kick up a storm of twisted disco rhythms, contorted limps, skewed guitar lines and topless action.
SCARLET HARLOTS
Rounding off this amazing line up are Punk-Step heroes Scarlet Harlots. Fusing together elements of Indie, Dub and Grime the Harlots have a wonderfully threatening charm and sound like a street smart Larrikin Love.
