A Mixtape Affair returns to Islington Bar Academy on Friday 15th August to bring you an evening of Indie gems past and present. Featuring the hottest live bands and the best guest DJs playing A-sides, B-Sides and Rarities from our vaults- if it makes us dance it’s going on.

The party kicks off at 10.30 and we’re pleased to announce Special Guests The Von Erich Family playing live. Rising from the ashes of Dustin’s Bar Mitzvah and taking their name from the professional wrestling family, expect a chaotic romp through their own special blend of indie, new wave and garage rock. Weezer and Pavement fans are in for a treat, and with material from necrophilia to Buddhism they’ve got all bases covered.

With Guest DJs Alison (Casually Fabulous) and Anoth Guy Called Gerald on the decks alongside resident DJ Jimmy Mixtape it’s set to be a fun-fuelled indie romp of a night.
