RICARDO TOBAR / JAMES HOLDEN / WINTERLIGHT / JAMES RUTLEDGE (JUNE 22)
Sonic Cathedral opens for worship at The Social, Little Portland Street, London W1 on Sunday, June 22 - a special service we're calling Sunny Sunday Smile.
It's a double celebration to commemorate the My Bloody Valentine reunion gigs (and having seen both ICA warm-up shows, believe me, it's reason to celebrate) and the release of our new single, two covers of MBV songs by Athens, Georgia post-rockers Japancakes, remixed by two of our guests.
We're opening at 3pm and if you've got a ticket for any of the MBV gigs you can get in for half price. The live sets - by Chilean electrogazer Ricardo Tobar (remixer of 'Touched') and Westcountry wunderkind Winterlight - will start at 5pm and finish in good time for you to get to the Roundhouse, but if you just want to stick around, we've also got DJ sets by Border Community head honcho James Holden and James Rutledge (remixer of 'Soon') until late.
