DAT POLITICS - EXCLUSIVE!!! @ BRUDENELL - LEEDS - APRIL 18th
The Cool Kids Present…
An over 18’s party to fundraise for the under 18’s!!
Dat Politics
Since 99, DAT politics is by far one of the most extatic electro party bands on the planet. Their remarkably energetic live shows explain the cult like enthusiasm that surround the french computer trio as they’ve been touring intensively worldwide over the past six years. DAT politics channels a rough-edged turbo pop mood through their laptops to create some of the most unexpectedly catchy and lively music ever assembled by digital means. They use to keep the possibility of mistakes and chaos in their hot wired dance smash is by approaching songwriting and performance the same way a garage band might.
Printed Circuit
Remarkable synth pop super party, written and performed with a most beautiful adeptness. Once I scrounged a lift to a train station in Scotland the driver said, “This girl (Claire) has the best ear for writing a tune out of all the amazing Leeds musicians.”. See for yourself but I think its true.
Monster Killed By Laser
Make the noise that is spawned from rocky beds of breakable wind and distant earth quakes. Their tunes will not help you breath more easily.
Cissy
Could be described as most excellent musicians whom pull of such a successful funk that it can be compared to The Meters or 5 Style. Personally I like any band that plays a pair of sausages live on stage.

18th of April
Cheap entry to Strangeways with handstamp!
This night shall be a super fantastic time, and a way to party. And make no mistake for you are going to enjoy and it will be different. All proceeds from the night are going to the under 18’s rave night at the Burley Liberal club, a night being organised by the Burley Lodge Centre, Life Force and local young people. I was so impressed with the efforts all the young people were making that I wanted to throw a great big party myself and give them all the money so their night can be awesome. And so now we have the over 18’s night to make money for the under 18’s.
As well as the bands there will be stalls from local community organisations, a cake stall and raffles. The idea is to have an excellent party to make another excellent party happen and the line up just makes it phenomenal. I’m super pleased that a band as awesome as Dat Politics want to play such a night and for those who want to carry on dancing all night, you can get in cheap to Strangeways after. So tell all your mates you are off out for the bestest night ever and drag them all along.
