THE NIALLIST - Free Download Album!
As it is the time of year to celebrate the slow, agonisingly brutal death of Jesus Christ, I thought I would share with all the lovely people my debut album "And Out Of Nowhere--". It's available as a free download anyway, on Little Rock Records, but you can get it direct by clicking on the sleeve image below:

There's 6 tracks, four of my own, and covers of Sonic Youth and Suicide. It's noisey/angry electro-rock. Big influences for this album were the two bands just mentioned, Peaches for the raw 909 style, the Cramps for the lulz, and Radioactive Man for the beats and the bass. The greatest influence musically though has to be White Light/White Heat by the Velvet Underground , for the noise, the melody and the overall shape. And the biggest influence of all was "The FIlth and The Fury" which I watched repeatedly at the end of 2001 and into 2002. How come we have been living one of the most politically important eras ever and yet there are no bands around who reflect this, let alone mention it aloud? Political and social music doesn't have to be boring or hectoring - I remember my own youth when bands like Cornershop, Huggy Bear and Public Enemy even made it seem kind of * whisper it * exciting! Hopefully this is some kind of throw back (in attitude) to that...
1. The New Wave of The Same Old
2. Youth Against Fascism
3. Do The Flesh Crawl
4.Come & Get It
5. Belief/Opinion/Cause of Death
6. Ghost Rider
I'd be very interested to hear what you folks think of this, even if it's not good!!
